Safety precautions you must take during Bleach productionThe following write up shows step by step guide on how to make Bleach. Please follow the steps very carefully using the right measurement given to you.
Please note that these substances are industrial chemicals, most of them are acidic or basic in nature.
Use protective gloves on both hands and if you are allergic to odours of chemical, use nose mask.
Do not make the production close to naked flames such as unprotected candle flames or flames from any burning material. This is because some of the chemicals are inflammable
Keep chemicals out of reach of children as most of the salt appear like the normal table salt
Avoid direct contact of chemicals with the skin or eyes. In case of any accident, please wash immediately with plenty of water. If symptoms persist please see your doctor
Please do not taste any soap chemical.
The following chemical are used for production of bleach
1. Industrial salt
2. Chlorine
3. Soda ash
4. Caustic soda
Procedure
Mix all the chemicals given above together starting with any one you want in 10 liter of water. Stir very well and allow the mixture to stand for three days, after which you can filter the mixture. The filtrate is the bleach while the residue is used as scouring powder i.e. Vim
